Donia is a resilient three-time cancer survivor, award-winning writer, best-selling author, film producer, entrepreneur, and proud political campaigns ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Her journey from battling cancer to becoming a leading advocate for awareness and empowerment has inspired countless people. Through her work in writing and film, Donia has made it her mission to encourage others to share their stories of strength, and now, her incredible life is being brought to the big screen in a feature film with a multiple Oscar-winning Director attached. Born in London on March 7, 1978, Donia is the daughter of Maria Youssef and Dr. Gamel Youssef, and the niece of British Labour Party politician Sir John Battle. She grew up surrounded by a strong sense of public service and community. But it was her personal battles, including overcoming cancer and losing her sister to suicide, that shaped her into the passionate advocate she is today. Donia’s career spans many areas, from writing and film production to casting. She’s an Amazon bestselling author with 32 books under her belt, all infused with messages of hope, survival, and the importance of mental health. One of her proudest moments was becoming the first author to host a book signing at Hamleys in London—a milestone that showcases her innovative spirit.Her talent as a film producer has earned her recognition across the globe, winning 92 film festival awards for her work. Donia’s ability to turn deeply personal stories into universal messages has touched many, earning her the title of Inspirational Woman of the Year 2024. She’s dedicated to helping others feel seen, understood, and supported, especially those facing life’s toughest challenges.Through her casting agency, she’s not only helping actors find their way but also using her platform to advocate for mental health and cancer awareness, creating opportunities for voices that might otherwise go unheard.At the heart of everything Donia does is her passion for helping others. Angela Sara West is a prominent celebrity cover journalist and TV producer interviewing some of the world's biggest stars. From pop sensations the Spice Girls, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, to Hollywood icon Michael Douglas, business mogul Richard Branson and supermodel Elle Macpherson, she's a a force in both national and international media. Having worked at BBC Radio 1 & 2, in news and entertainment news as well as on Children In Need, she's now a TV producer at London's STK International, partnering with prestigious global events, including London, Paris & NY Fashion Weeks, the BRIT Awards, GRAMMYs, Cannes Film Festival and F1 Monaco Grand Prix. She's also a judge for the prestigious Surrey Awards and the co-founder of Surrey Fashion Week (SFW) @surreyfashionweekuk which she launched with Surrey's own Pussycat Doll, Kimberly Wyatt, during Surrey Fashion Week in Sept 2021, bringing celebrity charity catwalk events showcasing fab local fashion brands to life. These star-studded shows have featured notable names, such as 'Strictly' stars who opened SFW22 in true 'Strictly' style with Oti Mabuse on front row! Diverse and inclusive SFW has seen stylish Paralympians dazzling the runway in their wheelchairs, and even rescue dogs on the catwalk with their celebrity walkers wearing matching outfits, plus phenomenal live performances from sensational singers, including BRIT Award-winning S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara, who launched new music at SFW22. Angela's work showcases a rich tapestry of entertainment, fashion, lifestyle and culture, her journalistic expertise extending to reach audiences worldwide. Beyond her career, Angela is a passionate advocate for cancer charities. Her philanthropic father is a three-time cancer survivor and she was compelled to co-found The Triple C to fundraise for cancer charities including The Royal Marsden following her husband's shock diagnosis of acute leukaemia (AML) in early 2024. Angela is deeply involved in fundraising efforts, with her celebrity events such as Surrey Fashion Week raising awareness and funds not only for The Triple C, but also for Cool Earth, Mind, Small Steps, local domestic abuse charity ESDAS and Ukraine.
