A journalist based in Southeast London, Lucy focuses on real-life and entertainment news. During her second year of studying English Literature and Language, Lucy was diagnosed with a rare benign brain tumour. Faced with the reality that she might not live to see her 25th birthday without undergoing neurosurgery, she bravely decided to proceed with a craniotomy. After taking a year away from studies and life to recover, Lucy returned to London, completed her degree, and pursued a master’s degree. However, just as she neared the end of her master’s, she received a second cancer diagnosis, this time in the thyroid. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, necessitating two surgeries, and she is currently awaiting radio-iodine therapy. Having been diagnosed with two tumours in her early 20s, Lucy is deeply passionate about raising awareness of cancer in young people, particularly highlighting the importance of recognising signs and symptoms.

As the CEO of Miss Britannia, she has created a platform where women can share their stories, life purposes, and journeys. Beyond her role as a host, presenter and pageant judge, Danielle’s real impact lies in her commitment to ensuring every child and adolescent she works with not only excels academically but also thrives mentally, physically and emotionally. She believes in empowering women to believe in themselves and to find strength, no matter their circumstances. In her work as a neurodiversity pre-assessment learning consultant, Danielle acts as a bridge between parents and educational institutions, ensuring that children with unique learning needs are supported. Her approach is always about understanding and nurturing, helping families navigate what can often be a difficult journey. She’s also an author, dedicated to creating products that promote empowerment and wellbeing, using her expertise to make a difference in people’s lives. Danielle’s role as an Ambassador for the Triple C Cancer Care Community is deeply personal. Having experienced cancer scares herself and seen her mother battle both breast and lung cancer, she is committed to raising awareness and advocating for early detection. “My mum had cancer twice, but luckily, it was caught early," she shares. "I've had a couple of scares myself, but thankfully everything was okay. That’s why I’m so passionate about women getting regular smear tests and mammograms. I had my first mammogram at 40, and I encourage every woman to stay on top of their health.”
